It  can all seem really overwhelming, but I\u2019m here to tell you there\u2019s no  need to panic.<\/p><p>My first tip is always to start small and use what you have: this is called <strong>wardrobe cosplay<\/strong>. For example, my Spinelli cosplay from <em>Recess<\/em>  required only a leather jacket, red shirt, and an orange hat. The only  thing I had to purchase was the orange hat which cost less than 5 quid  ($6.50). And my Numbuh 3 from <em>Codename: Kids Next Door<\/em> required  only a green jumper and straight black wig with bangs, which I already  had. To be a \u201ccosplayer\u201d you don\u2019t have to become the characters with  super complex costumes. Many Black cosplay artists would agree there\u2019s a lack of representation and a stigma within the cosplay community for people of color.
