For materials, start off by grabbing a box of Fruity Pebbles cereal, and about half a yard of clear vinyl fabric. You’ll also need a sewing machine, clear or white colored thread, some tissue paper, no-sew fabric tape, a pair of pinking shears, and velcro tape. For fun accents, try adding sequins, rhinestones or even small printed images for an additional decorative feel.<\/p>\n

To get started, cut out the vinyl fabric with a shape measuring about 32 inches by 11 inches.<\/p>\n

Then, you’ll want to fold the fabric in half, so that you will have two layers of fabric measuring approximately 18 inches by 11 inches. Next, you’ll need to sew the sides of the pouch. First, place down a piece of tissue paper to the top and bottom of where you’re planning on sewing. The tissue paper will help the fabric slide effortlessly through the sewing machine. Finish off this step by backstitching and completing with a double row to secure in place.<\/p>\n

Now, this next step is super fun, add in your Fruity Pebbles cereal, and along with any additional accents you’d like. The sky’s the limit when it comes to getting creative and having fun! Add in shiny sequins or rhinestones for a notice-me feel. Or, you can even toss in a few printed images for an even bigger sense of wow.<\/p>\n

Then, you can bend the bottom half of the pouch and apply the tissue paper along the sides. Sew along the edges, and you’re almost done! At this stage, make sure to separate some of the inner contents of the bag so that they will be equally dispersed to the front part of the flap.<\/p>\n

To finish, you need to apply the Velcro to the center of the bag. Then, you can attach the no-sew tape to the front part of the bag. For more creative ideas, try experimenting with different types of fabric for the trim. For this project, she opted for layers of green sequins and poofy white ball accents for a playful feel.<\/p>\n
