While some ladies can’t even fathom a day without heels, what happens when the man behind “Bro Bible” spends an entire day walking in stilettos? Needless to say, this social experiment lends to some hilarious results. An average morning for Brandon Cohen usually would mean sliding into a pair of boat shoes or lacing up a pair of sneakers, this day was unlike any other.
In an attempt to explore gender roles and a mix of curiosity and bordeom, Cohen whips out a box from Torrid containing a pair of high black stilettos. After zipping them up, he struggles to walk out of his apartment and to the elevator, hinting at an interesting day to follow. You can almost feel Cohen’s pain as he wobbles down the street, barely able to put one foot in front of the other. Some pedestrians oggle, others stop and take pictures and a few even walk to the edge of the sidewalk.
After an amusing commute to work, in heels nonetheless, Cohen arrives at his office. He says he feels judged and just wants to look good as he awkwardly strides to the coffee machine. By lunchtime, he makes the mistake of parking on level 3 of a parking garage, suffering as he dangerously walks down the stairs. He feels like he can relate to some of the female stiletto-wearing population, stating that he sees why everyone wants to park by the exits, and ultimately really wants to kill everyone. Sitting outside of a Panera bread, Cohen gets heckled by some skateboarding teens and questioned by a passing homeless man. Not all of the feedback was negative, a girl approached him and complimented his choice on heels.
After arriving at the mall, Cohen gets followed by a flock of intrigued Asian women, smiling and pointing at his kawaii footwear. Up next on the agenda was a trip to a bar and trying out some epic dance moves, but this “Bro Bible” video correspondent tossed in the towel early. Maybe we can convince some of the other men in our lives to give it a try, and quite literally “step into someone else’s shoes” for day. Hats off and respect to this hysterical young man for turning the tables and experimenting with heels.

Seeing him get heckled by skateboarders and questioned by a homeless man shows how visible and judged he felt all day, which women deal with constantly.
It was funny, but also telling, that he tapped out before the dancing portion, since that’s where heels can be the most punishing.
It’s interesting that boredom kicked this off, but by lunchtime he seemed to have gained a real appreciation for what wearing heels involves.
What stood out was how quickly he went from curiosity to actual physical pain just walking down the street in those Torrid stilettos.
His struggle just getting from the apartment to the elevator set the tone perfectly for how the rest of the day would spiral.
His comment about finally understanding why people fight for spots near exits felt like the most relatable takeaway from the whole experiment.
The mix of reactions, from people taking pictures to that girl complimenting his heels, really highlighted how unpredictable public attention can be.
I laughed at the image of him gripping the elevator wall just to stay upright, but it also made the point quickly about how unnatural stilettos can feel at first.
The experiment may have started as a joke, but moments like the stair descent and public reactions made it feel more like a real perspective shift.
I appreciated that he didn’t last the full bar and dancing portion, because it showed the experiment had real limits physically.
The commute alone sounded exhausting, wobbling through sidewalks while people stared and snapped photos like it was a spectacle.
I liked how the article balanced humor with small insights, especially when he admitted he could relate to women who wear heels regularly.
The line about wanting to look good while feeling completely judged at the office coffee machine felt surprisingly honest.
That Panera moment where he’s sitting outside getting comments from strangers really captured how exposed he felt in public.
The parking garage part on level 3 sounded brutal, especially going down stairs in stilettos, which most guys probably never even consider as a daily challenge.
His transition from sneakers and boat shoes to zipped-up stilettos was such a stark contrast that made the whole experiment more impactful.
I didn’t expect the mall scene with the group of women following and pointing at his “kawaii” shoes, but it added a funny and slightly surreal twist.
The detail about him barely being able to put one foot in front of the other made me wince because it’s exactly how beginners walk in stilettos.
