We’ve restocked our Fiskars rotary cutters, cutting mats, and scissors as well as added a few new ones. The table top scissors are a huge design improvement over traditional scissors. We absolutely adore them and if you do a serious amount of fabric cutting on a table top then you must get a pair. If you aren’t familiar with them, checkout the images and video below:

We’ve also added bra separator wire. These are sometimes referred to as “V” wire although the shape can also be closer to a “U” and they are used to keep your material stationary in deep plunge bras, costumes, lingerie, or dance wear. In addition, separator wire can be used in combination with other structural elements, like boning or underwire.

We hope that we can begin to help out those of you who are seeking to make either more structured garments, corsets, and lingerie.
Also, don’t forget that we are currently offering free pattern design. Our backlog is filling up, and while we are currently trying to hire more pattern drafters to help keep up with demand, we may have to pause the service in the near future to catch up – so get your requests in soon! Send an email to sales@MJTrends.com with pictures and/or descriptions of custom-fit patterns that you would like us to create.

Tabletop scissors seem perfect for people doing repetitive cuts on a work surface rather than in the air. I can see how that would improve control and consistency over traditional scissors.
The note about the V wire sometimes being more U-shaped was helpful, since I’ve seen both and wasn’t sure if they were interchangeable. Sounds like either could work depending on the plunge depth.
Glad to see the Fiskars rotary cutters back in stock because mine is overdue for replacement. Pairing that with the cutting mats you mentioned makes a big difference in accuracy for pattern work.
I’ve been experimenting with deep plunge bras and keeping the center stable is always tricky. The separator wire you added seems like exactly what’s needed to hold that shape in place.
The tabletop scissors video helped clarify how they differ from standard designs. It’s easier to see why they’d be better for fabric cutting when working flat on a table.
The combination of rotary cutters, mats, and those new scissors makes this restock feel pretty comprehensive. It’s helpful to have all the core cutting tools refreshed at once.
I didn’t realize separator wire could be combined with boning and underwire like that. That opens up a lot more possibilities for structured bodices and dance costumes than I’d considered before.
Those tabletop scissors look like a real upgrade from the usual shears, especially for long straight cuts on cutting mats. I’ve struggled with hand fatigue, so the design change you mentioned definitely caught my attention.
I appreciate the mention of using separator wire in costumes and dancewear, not just lingerie. That’s an area where structure and durability really matter during movement.
Interesting that you’re offering free pattern design, but also mentioning the backlog filling up. It sounds like a good idea to submit requests sooner rather than later before the service pauses.
Nice to see you expanding beyond basic tools into more specialized components like bra separator wire. It makes it easier to source everything for lingerie projects in one place.
