Light-colored vinyl can absorb darker colored vinyl if they touch for too long. If you're storing the vinyl, ensure that you keep them separate.
For existing stains, the only thing that I've found that works to create a 'mush' of baking soda and water. You can put baking soda on a hand-towel and get it moist, then leave it on the stain for a couple days.
Remove the towel/baking soda and firmly wipe down the material. This doesn't always work, but it's worth a try. You can also try powdered oxygen bleach (oxiclean) instead of baking soda.
