Olive Green

A shade of yellow and green that derives it's name from the color of the olive plant.  It was a popular uniform color in World War II, and is often used today in recreating Nazi uniforms amoung others.

The color that is half way between red and yellow in the visible spectrum.  The name is derived from the orange fruit, first introduced to Europe via the Sanscrit word, 'naranja'.

In the U.S. and Canada orange is associated with engineering.  After the Orange Revolution in Ukrainse in 2004-2005 it became a color symbolising opposition to tyranny around the world.  Orange is also associated with the holiday Halloween.

Oriental Brocade

A richly decorated shuttle-woven fabric, oftentimes made with gold or silver threads.  Brocade is typically woven on a draw loom.

The technique is supplementary weft, meaning that the ornamental brocading is produced by a supplementary, non-structural, weft in addition to the standard weft that holds the warp threads together. The purpose is to give the appearance that the weave was actually embroidered on.
