Using Unwanted Pattern paper

Cut unwanted / extra pattern paper into strips approximately 2 inches in width. Place the pattern paper on top of the seam. The presser foot will glide against the pattern paper. Once you have finished the seam, gently rip the paper off.

Lubricating the Seam

Even easier than using pattern paper is to apply a tiny amount of lube to the shiny side of the vinyl fabric. Squeeze out a small amout onto your finger and then run it down the seam where you will be sewing. Apply it every 12 to 18 inches as needed. When you are down, wipe off the lubricant with a cloth or paper towl. The lube will not damage the vinyl fabric.
