A couple weeks we sent out a newsletter requesting designers to send us their portfolio’s for us to showcase and we received some great responses. Our staff favorite was Miss Eliza who has been purchasing latex sheeting from us for the past year and has created absolutely dazzling fashions.
She recently graduated from the Eastern Institute of Technology at Hawke’s Bay New Zealand with a degree in Fashion Design. Besides designing latex fashions, Miss Eliza collects vintage/gothic attire, accessories and other items which she uses in fashion shoots and offers as part of her design services.

Calling her your staff favorite makes me wonder what specific pieces stood out most, especially given the number of submissions you received.
It’s nice to see a recent graduate already integrating styling, collection, and garment design into a single service offering.
The mix of latex fashion with her vintage and gothic collection is a cool angle, especially since she uses those items directly in her shoots.
The article makes me curious how she balances wearable design with the more dramatic gothic styling elements in her shoots.
I like that you noted her year-long relationship with your materials, since it adds credibility to both her work and your products.
Her focus on latex combined with gothic influences feels very cohesive rather than gimmicky, which isn’t always easy to pull off.
You can tell from the description that her work isn’t just garments but full visual concepts, especially with the emphasis on curated shoots.
Her approach of combining collected accessories with custom latex designs feels almost like building a full character rather than just an outfit.
Highlighting a New Zealand designer from Hawke’s Bay is refreshing, since most features tend to focus on larger fashion hubs.
The newsletter call for portfolios clearly paid off if this is the level of talent you’re highlighting; Miss Eliza seems like a strong pick.
It’s impressive she’s only recently graduated yet already producing “dazzling” latex pieces that caught your staff’s attention over all the other submissions.
Interesting that she offers her collected accessories as part of her design services; that kind of styling support isn’t something every emerging designer provides.
The fact she’s been working with your latex sheeting for a full year suggests she’s really committed to mastering the material.
I liked that you mentioned she’s been buying latex sheeting from you for a year; it really shows how consistent material sourcing feeds into such polished final designs.
This feature makes me want to see more close-ups of her latex construction techniques, especially given her formal training and unique aesthetic.
I appreciate that you included her Facebook page, since designers like this often share more behind-the-scenes work there.
Her background at Eastern Institute of Technology in Hawke’s Bay makes sense when you see the structure in her pieces, even with a tricky material like latex.
Her use of vintage items in shoots probably adds a lot of texture and narrative to latex, which can sometimes look overly uniform.
