26-year old model Circe de la Rosa tried out latex for the first time for a UK News magazine report. Read on for more about her experience, along with her final verdict. She rated the latex number a four out of five for it’s irresistible and sultry feel.
“I DO feel sexy in it and I love the colour red. I think latex can look really hot, especially if you have a good figure – but it is very racy,” she said. “I would definitely get this for Valentine’s and wear it for my boyfriend.”
Looking seriously sexy, Rosa rocked the red latex dress for a day and rated all the unique aspects about latex. When it comes to things down under, Circe gave the latex look a one out of five. “I DON’T feel comfortable going commando.”
“It’s not nice to leave your knickers behind when it’s so cold and windy outside – it gets breezy everywhere,” She noted. On the other hand, when it came to the waterproof and spill factor, she gave it a three out of five. “WHO cares about rain when you are wearing this?
If I get wet I just need to wipe it dry. But it’s not the best option in winter – I feel pretty naked,” she added. “SPILLS simply wipe off. But don’t wear fake tan as the drink will run straight off the dress on to your legs – leaving them streaky.”
A-list celebs and singers love the latex trend, but Circe felt it was tricky when getting dressed. “The only way to get into the dress is to use talcum powder. Now I smell like babies which is not sexy,” She said. “It is so tight it’s uncomfortable, I can barely breathe.”
When it comes to getting into latex, she rated the overall experience a one out of five. “LATEX absolutely makes you sweat. Put a deodorant in your bag – otherwise you will end up stinking and sticky,” she advised.
She wasn’t feeling the smell, giving it a one out of five rating. Feeling limited and restricted, she didn’t feel comfortable walking around in it, either. “YOU are close to flashing your bum every time you lift a foot. I’d never be able to dance in this at a club. It would be impossible to keep everything covered.”
So, what’d she think about the whole latex look overall? “It’s definitely too short – I can’t even bend over. I would wear it for Halloween but it’s not classy. I do feel sexy and it is perfect for Valentine’s Day as a special treat for my boyfriend, but it makes me feel a bit like Jessica Rabbit. Other than that – I’ll leave it to the celebs.” Eager to try the trend for yourself? Make sure you check out our wide range of latex sheeting available for purchase.

The warning about fake tan streaking when drinks spill was actually useful and not something I’d have thought about before reading this.
Calling it a Jessica Rabbit look was spot on, especially with the red latex and the emphasis on a very specific, exaggerated silhouette.
I appreciated that she didn’t just hype it up and instead talked about sweating, smell, and discomfort, which feels more honest than typical fashion coverage.
That bit about constantly worrying about flashing when walking really shows how impractical such a short latex dress can be outside of a controlled setting.
It was interesting how she compared feeling sexy in red latex to also feeling restricted and unable to even dance or bend over properly.
The detail about needing talcum powder just to get into the dress was surprisingly relatable, even if unglamorous. It really highlights how different latex is from regular fabrics people are used to wearing.
The waterproof angle sounded appealing at first, but her point about still feeling cold and exposed in winter balances that out.
I laughed at her comment about smelling like babies after using powder, because that’s such a specific downside you never hear about with latex fashion.
Her mixed ratings made the piece interesting, especially giving it a four for sexiness but a one for comfort when going commando in cold weather.
Her comment about latex being perfect for Valentine’s but not classy enough for other occasions kind of sums up the whole vibe of the outfit.
