Latex Designer Reivew: Amentium

New year, new you! Upgrade your wardrobe with some serious latex inspiration this year. Founded in October 2015, Amentium is an innovative company founded by Helen Teiman.

Based out of the UK, the designer uses latex to create head-turning designs. The name “Amentium” refers to the latin word “amentiam” which translates as infatuation or madness over someone. Each garment is handcrafted and treated with the utmost care. The company’s aesthetic is inspired by designs from the French Renaissance and Ancient Rome.

In the “Hidden Escape” collection, Amentium uses bold latex fabric in colors like fire engine red and aqua blue. Inspired by the streets of Venice, Italian architecture and metalwork in the streets, this collection is just so edgy. Get inspired by the form-fitting jumpsuits and sleek leggings for a cool look.

We love the futuristic detailing, especially in the Hidden Escape Cape, Crop Top and Pencil Skirt. All of these pieces look vibrant and cool, and even include some laser cut patterning for added intrigue. For a sophisticated approach, turn to their collection entitled “The Launch”.
Amentium gets creative using voluminous sleeves, flirty peplum styles and high necklines for ladylike latex looks. Or, add a burst of color to your wardrobe by looking pretty in pink. An all pink latex look might be overkill for some, but when paired with contrasting lines and sleek bits of black, everything looks chic.
If you’re not ready to take the plunge, get inspired with some basic latex essentials. Whether you prefer a studded crop top or a cute skater skirt, you’ll be good to go. Go bold with a halter style top for a fresh look. Give your wardrobe a much-needed upgrade with some of these eye-popping latex styles. It’ll be all too easy to create a head-turning look when you try this fun latex trend.

The Hidden Escape Cape stood out to me, especially with the futuristic detailing layered over such classical inspiration, it’s a cool contrast.

Quinn Avery

The pink latex look with black accents is a good reminder that contrast can tone down what might otherwise feel over the top.

Quinn Avery

I appreciate that each garment is handcrafted, because with latex that level of care really shows in how clean and polished the final look appears.

Reese Palmer

The mention of Venice and Italian metalwork makes so much sense when you picture those laser cut patterns on the cape and pencil skirt, very architectural and sharp.

Logan Wren

That halter style suggestion is practical advice, since it’s a simpler entry point but still captures the boldness of latex.

Jamie Brooks

I’m intrigued by how laser cutting is used here, since it adds texture and detail that latex garments don’t always have.

Blair Sutton

Aqua blue latex isn’t something you see often, so it’s nice that the brand isn’t sticking only to the usual black and red palette.

Morgan Ellis

Fire engine red and aqua blue in latex sounds intense, but paired with those sleek jumpsuits it actually feels wearable in a bold, statement way.

Jordan Blake

Voluminous sleeves in latex from The Launch collection sound tricky, but I like how it leans into a more ladylike aesthetic instead of just bodycon styles.

Riley Harper

The futuristic elements mixed with historical references give the designs more depth than standard latex fashion, which can sometimes feel one-note.

Logan Wren

That explanation of the name Amentium meaning infatuation or madness fits perfectly with latex fashion, since it always feels a bit obsessive and dramatic.

Marlowe Dean

I like that the article suggests starting with basics like a skater skirt or studded crop top instead of jumping straight into a full latex outfit.

Casey Rowan

High necklines and peplum styles in latex aren’t something you see often, so The Launch collection sounds like a refreshing change from typical cuts.

Taylor Quinn

It’s interesting how the article balances dramatic runway-style pieces like the cape with approachable basics, making the brand feel more accessible overall.

Rowan Pierce

I didn’t realize Amentium pulled inspiration from both the French Renaissance and Ancient Rome, but it really explains those structured silhouettes in the Hidden Escape pieces.

Marlowe Dean

The idea of drawing from Venice streets and architecture gives the collection a narrative, not just a set of random bold pieces.
