PinkLake, a fashion design label from Hungary, recently used MJTrends fabrics to create its initial line of women’s and childrenswear.
Shot at a sunny resort in Debrecen, Hungary PinkLakes designs are fun and flirty. The designer uses a mix of both solid vinyl fabrics and semi-transparent vinyl material in hues of pink, green, and purple to create one-of-a-kind fashions.
Her featured designs include a children’s’ two-tone flare skirt with crisscross top, rhinestone embellished summer pink dress, and a purple dress with loose fitting semi-transparent purple skirt layered on top.
We loved the application of clear vinyl material on top of the already glistening vinyl designs and her use of color is perfect for fun in the sun. The transparent pink vinyl jacket brings an element of youthfulness to a pink dress that catches the eye. The model’s hot pink lipstick and oversized hoop earings all mesh in the summer sun with a backdrop of local flora and sea water.

The transparent pink jacket over the dress is probably my favorite look, it keeps things light and youthful without hiding the underlying color.
The two-tone flare skirt with the crisscross top for kids stood out to me, it’s playful but still feels like it uses the vinyl in a thoughtful way.
I like how they combined solid vinyl with semi-transparent layers, especially that purple dress with the loose outer skirt, it gives movement without losing the glossy structure.
Layering clear vinyl over colored vinyl is something I haven’t seen often, and it gives a kind of wet-look finish without being literal.
Using pink, green, and purple together can get messy fast, but the palette here feels really controlled and summery.
The children’s outfit sounds like a mini version of the adult line, which makes the collection feel cohesive rather than separate.
The semi-transparent vinyl seems key here, otherwise everything might feel too heavy or costume-like in full solid vinyl.
That purple layered dress sounds like it plays nicely with light, especially in an outdoor shoot with water and greenery around.
The mix of flirty silhouettes with such a bold material like vinyl is refreshing, especially in a summer context instead of the usual edgy styling.
That rhinestone embellished pink dress paired with vinyl sounds like a bold mix of textures, but from the description it seems to work surprisingly well.
Hot pink lipstick and oversized hoops might sound over the top, but with vinyl pieces it actually ties the whole look together.
The resort setting in Debrecen sounds like it really complements the glossy vinyl, especially with sunlight reflecting off the materials.
Overall the use of MJTrends vinyl here feels less costume-like and more wearable, especially with the softer colors and relaxed shapes.
Seeing clear vinyl layered over already shiny pieces was interesting, it could have been overkill but here it actually adds depth and texture.
I appreciate that they included childrenswear in the same aesthetic instead of toning it down completely, especially with that structured skirt design.
I’m curious how breathable those semi-transparent pieces are, but visually they seem to balance out the heavier solid vinyl items.
