Just added – Spandex foil metallic fabric

As of this week we have added 16 colors of 4-way stretch spandex metallic foil fabric. The material has excellent stretch both side-to-side and up-and-down (four-way stretch).

In our customer surveys over the last 6 months, it was the #1 requested new material that you wanted us to add. The colors that we targeted are geared for both Cosplay and dance wear.

We’ve got Green Hornet green, Goblin green, 1960’s Batman purple, Power Rangers hot pink, Captain America red and blue, Wonder Woman metallic gold, Spaceman silver, Egyptian Princess platinum, and the list goes on and on. You can make leotards, catsuits, gloves, stockings, and more with this fabric.

Metallic foil spandex is different from our 4-way stretch vinyl in that the finish is not perfectly slick and smooth like vinyl. It does have a metallic sheen to it and if you look closely you can see the weave on the top of the material. Spandex foil fabric is commonly used for costuming and if you’re looking for something more like Spandex but with a metallic glean, then not only will you get the perfect fabric but you’ll save about 1/2 what you would pay for 4-way stretch vinyl ($5.99 versus $12.99).

We are here to serve you, and we’d love to hear your feedback on what items we should stock next, how you like the Spandex foil material, and how we can best help you with your projects. You can contact us at sales@MJTrends.com.

It’s interesting that you targeted both cosplay and dance wear with the same lineup. Those two groups really do overlap when it comes to bold metallic finishes.

I appreciate the clarification that it isn’t as slick as the vinyl and has a visible weave. That helps set expectations for anyone trying to match existing glossy pieces.

Sydney Lane

I like that you positioned it as a budget-friendly alternative to 4-way stretch vinyl instead of a direct replacement. That makes it easier to decide which project suits which fabric.

Morgan Ellis

Honestly the four-way stretch is what sold me, since so many metallics are restrictive. This sounds much more practical for catsuits that need real mobility.

Reese Palmer

I’ve been waiting for a metallic that actually stretches in all directions, so the four-way stretch detail is huge for dancewear builds. The price difference from vinyl makes it much more approachable too.

Seeing Egyptian Princess platinum alongside Power Rangers pink shows a good mix of classic and pop culture shades. That kind of variety is hard to find in one place.

Jordan Blake

Those superhero-inspired colors are going to make matching existing costumes much easier. I’m especially interested in the Captain America red and blue pairing for a full suit build.

Nice to see you listened to the survey results and added the most requested material. That $5.99 price point compared to vinyl is going to make a lot of projects more feasible.

Cameron Vale

The note about it being commonly used for costuming makes sense, especially with those specific fandom-inspired colors. I’d love to see how the platinum looks under stage lighting.

Sage Bennett

The idea of making stockings and gloves with this is appealing, especially since stretch consistency matters there. Hopefully the foil holds up without cracking over time.

It’s refreshing to see a store actually respond to customer surveys and add the top-requested item. Sixteen colors right out of the gate is a solid launch.

Sage Bennett

The range from Wonder Woman gold to Spaceman silver sounds perfect for stage costumes. I can already picture using this for gloves and boots accents.

Parker Jules

The comparison between smooth vinyl and this more textured metallic sheen is helpful. Sometimes that slight texture actually looks better on camera than super glossy materials.

Reese Palmer

The color callouts like Green Hornet green and 60s Batman purple made me smile, clearly aimed at cosplay folks. Curious how durable the foil finish is after repeated stretching.

Marlowe Dean

Good call mentioning the weave visibility, since some buyers expect a mirror-like finish. This sounds more like a wearable metallic rather than a high-gloss vinyl substitute.
