Email AppHere’s a quick dose of inspiration from 13-year-old Isabella Rose Taylor, an up-and-coming designer with a bubbly sense of drive and determination. Originally from Austin, Texas, Taylor’s artistic background blossomed at a very young age.
In her own words, “My involvement with fashion came as a natural extension of my painting. I have always had a love of fashion and at age nine I decided to start my own clothing line.” Encouraged by her parents, Taylor continued to follow her creative path by experimenting with mixed media.
“They told me I didn’t have to wait until I was older to be my own boss and do what I love,” Taylor credits the encouragement and support from her parents as being paramount. After attending a summer sewing camp, she began to create unique, one of a kind items for friends and family. Eventually, Taylor’s love for sewing and her creative outlet soon became a full fledged business.
This inspiring teen continued to generate buzz by debuting her Spring 2015 collection at New York Fashion Week 2014. Drawing from her own style choices, Taylor’s designs meld bohemian elements with street grunge and tween-friendly additions.
Her Spring 2015 collection featured sweet babydoll dresses, along with printed crop tops and floral prints. A bold, street-ready look incorporates a sheer shirt over a criss-crossed crop top and a skater skirt. Her dreamy, gypsy-inspired maxi dresses are just waiting to be rocked at the next upcoming music festival.
Boyfriend cardigans, distressed sweat pants and other items from her popular Fall 2014 collection are available for purchase through Nordstrom, both in stores and online. Taylor’s social media pages have already generated a mass following, and she just recently joined YouTube to increase her presence.
