Studs and spikes are definitely not going anywhere anytime soon, so it’s time to mix things up in your wardrobe with the hottest new trend – grommets. These metallic accents have been popping up everywhere, from adorning the sides of designer bags to peekaboo detailing on crop tops. Recently, major celebs like Jennifer Lopez and Amanda Seyfried have been spotted rocking a set of stylish outfits featuring grommets. Never shy of showing a little skin, J. Lo debuted a nude colored body con dress, with the edges lined in metallic grommets that accentuated her figure. Grommets are the perfect for solution for taking a simple silhouette and elevating it to the next level.
Without them, this would have been a simple body con dress with full length sleeves, but these ultra cool grommets and laces add dimension to the lightweight fabric. The grommets and corset style lacing were strategically placed on the arms, encircling around the hips and down the sides of the dress, designed to highlight the natural curves of the body by adding visual interest. Jennifer slayed with a dramatic smokey eye, high bun hairstyle, hoop earrings and matching pumps for an edgy yet sophisticated look.
At the red carpet premiere for Ted 2, Amanda Seyfried looked darling as usual with an all black look. Looking leggy in a super cute micromini dress, Seyfried had all eyes on her with several layered straps at the neckline, linked up to a set of dark grommets. She kept things looking fresh and on trend for summer with a few braided cornrows in her hair. Going for a monochromatic look, Amanda carried a black clutch and worked her magic in a standout pair of caged heels.
