Gigi Hadid catsuit

glossy-patent-vinyl-catsuit-gigi-hadidGigi Hadid is well known for making headlines for her work on the runway, but a recent Lip Sync battle performance suggests more things in store for the It-girl. The 20-year-old fashion darling took to the stage in a curve-hugging stretch vinyl catsuit when facing off against Tyler Posey. Looking dressed to kill, Gigi gave it her all while performing the Backstreet Boys mega-hit “Larger than Life” with original members Nick Carter and A.J. McLean.

The model looked totally fierce, sporting a black vinyl catsuit, complete with a deep asymmetrical v-neck and angled zippers. Her back up dancers wore matching ensembles, complete with nineties inspired hairstyles like double buns and high ponytails. Other dancers sported red latex bodysuits with an equal amount of shimmer and sheen.
Showing off her fresh style, Hadid let her hair loose in tousled waves. After the performance, Gigi looked over the moon and told fans, “My life is complete first of all. Second of all I am officially the first Backstreet Girl.” Her competition and Teen Wolf star, Tyler, bowed down after her stellar performance.
Gigi was certainly crowned Lip Sync Champion of the episode, hands down. After receiving the honor, she told fans, “Honestly, this was one of the best nights in my entire life.” Get like Gigi and order some stretch vinyl fabric for your next night out.

I liked how the article highlighted the coordinated backup dancers with double buns and high ponytails, it really leaned into that nostalgic 90s pop vibe alongside the Backstreet Boys track.

It’s interesting that the article ties her runway reputation into this performance, showing she can translate high-fashion looks like vinyl into something fun and performative.

The detail about red latex bodysuits on some dancers added a cool contrast to Gigi’s black vinyl look, making the whole stage visual feel more dynamic and layered.

I appreciate how the piece notes her tousled waves instead of a slicked-back style, since it softens the intensity of a full vinyl outfit and keeps it more wearable.

I didn’t expect a lip sync battle to double as a fashion moment, but that curve-hugging vinyl catsuit clearly stole as much attention as the performance itself.

Rowan Pierce

That black stretch vinyl catsuit with the asymmetrical v-neck and angled zippers sounded like a bold choice, and it clearly worked for a high-energy Lip Sync Battle performance.

Tyler Posey bowing down after her performance really paints a picture of how dominant she was in that episode, not just in fashion but stage presence too.

Hayden Sloane

The angled zippers and deep neckline sound like small design choices, but they probably made a huge difference in giving the catsuit that edgy, custom feel.

Riley Harper

Her comment about being the “first Backstreet Girl” was funny and fitting, especially after winning the episode and clearly committing fully to the performance.

Seeing Gigi perform “Larger than Life” with Nick Carter and A.J. McLean must have been surreal, and the shiny black catsuit fits that futuristic boy band aesthetic perfectly.

Her reaction afterward about it being one of the best nights of her life makes the whole thing feel more genuine, not just another celebrity appearance.

Robin Tate

The mix of shimmer, sheen, and 90s-inspired styling across the dancers seems like it helped sell the Backstreet Boys theme without feeling like a costume party.

Reese Palmer

The suggestion to try stretch vinyl fabric for a night out makes sense after this, since the article shows how versatile and eye-catching it can be when styled right.
