Bodycon dress tutorial

four-way-stretch-leather-diy-dress-tutorialWe recently published a tutorial on how to make a bodycon dress from our 4-way stretch veggie leather. This tutorial goes with the bandeau dress pattern. You could also use this tutorial with any 4-way stretch material like our stretch vinyl or latex sheeting.

We’d love to hear from you on what tutorials you would find helpful, or what new custom patterns you would like us to create. Leave us feedback in the comments section below or email us at sales@MJTrends.com.

Also – we’re offering the corresponding bandeau dress pattern with mini-ruffle for 50% off this week only!

Happy sewing / gluing!

I like that you mentioned using the bandeau dress pattern as a base, especially with the 4-way stretch veggie leather since fit can be tricky with that material. Would love to see tips on seam finishing for vinyl too.

The note about substituting stretch vinyl or latex sheeting is really helpful since those behave differently when sewing or gluing. A follow-up tutorial on handling puckering or sticking issues would be great.

Glad you paired this with the mini-ruffle bandeau pattern, the 50% off makes it tempting to try. I’d be interested in more beginner-friendly guides specifically for working with stretch faux leather fabrics.
