Mel B in Latex Dress

celebrity-mel-b-spice-girl-wearing-latex-dressTalk about outfit goals! Mel B, a former Spice girl, certainly turned up the volume with a vivacious latex look. While heading to Serafina restaurant in Los Angeles, Mel took to the streets with a head-turning latex dress in nude and purple.

Looking fierce and confident, Mel sported a skintight latex dress which looked sleeveless upon first glance. When you look closer, the dress is actually long sleeved, with a scoop neckline in a flesh colored hue. For some, a dress with a plunging neckline might not be the best option.

An open back design keeps this look totally on-trend and evocative from every angle. We love her styling choices, matching her purple frock to her violet Louboutin heels, along with some chic gold bangles. Mel flaunted her figure in the fitted dress, which lightly skimmed her curves.
She was snapped earlier in the day with a topknot hair do, which is so perfect and easy to do when you’re on the go. Later on, she swapped it out for a sleek high ponytail. Spice Girls might have taken a bow, but Mel has announced to return to the stage with the exception of Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham and Mel “Sporty Spice” C. To the delight of many nostalgic fans, the three announced their comeback via YouTube.

The matching violet Louboutin heels were a smart touch, tying the whole outfit together without competing with the dress.

The mention of the Spice Girls comeback made this feel even more exciting, like she’s bringing that same bold energy back.

Her switch from a topknot earlier in the day to a sleek high ponytail later was a nice detail that showed versatility.

The gold bangles were subtle but added just enough contrast against the purple latex without distracting from the dress.

That purple shade paired with nude is unexpected, but it works surprisingly well, especially under city lights in LA.

That nude and purple combo really stood out, especially with the scoop neckline illusion that looks sleeveless at first glance but is actually long sleeved.

It’s interesting how the flesh-toned upper creates that almost sheer effect while still being fully covered, definitely adds intrigue.

Pairing latex with such a soft nude tone on top was a clever way to soften what could otherwise be a very intense look.

I didn’t realize at first that the dress had long sleeves, which makes the design feel more complex than your typical latex piece.

Her curves really stand out in that skintight fit, but it never looks uncomfortable or forced, just very intentional styling.

I appreciate how the article pointed out the illusion of the neckline, because that detail completely changes how you see the dress.

It’s cool that she wore something so daring just for a dinner at Serafina, definitely not your average night-out outfit.

The open back detail is probably my favorite part because it keeps the outfit interesting from every angle, like the article mentioned.

I liked how the open back balanced the plunging neckline, making the whole latex look feel bold without being overdone.

Her styling choices feel very deliberate, from the coordinated heels to the simple jewelry, letting the latex dress stay the focus.

Seeing Mel B step out in something so fitted and glossy reminds me how confident she’s always been with fashion risks.
