We have recently added several new sewing notions including the following:
- 5/8 inch fold-over elastic in multiple colors
- 2 new sizes of gloves (x-small and x-large)
- 45mm pinking blades for rotary cutters
- Heavier duty stretch sewing needles in size 90/14
- Double fold bias tape
The fold-over elastic and bias tape are great for finishing armholes, cuffs, or leg hole openings on your creations. We recommend the fold over elastic for 4-way stretch materials like our stretch vinyl, as it will allow the opening to stretch when necessary.
We also had an error that was preventing users from selecting corsetry supplies that has been resolved. Our busks and steel boning are now available.

Pleased to see pinking blades offered since not all rotary cutters handle knit edges well without fraying or curling.
It’s reassuring that the corsetry selection bug was fixed, since those supplies like busks are pretty essential for structured builds.
Good call on stocking heavier stretch needles, thinner ones tend to skip stitches when dealing with dense synthetic fabrics.
The addition of 5/8 inch fold-over elastic in multiple colors is great, especially for stretch vinyl projects where you really need that give at armholes and leg openings.
Using fold-over elastic on 4-way stretch vinyl is a solid recommendation, regular elastic really doesn’t behave the same way.
Having multiple color options for fold-over elastic makes matching finishes so much easier compared to dyeing or settling for black.
The note about using fold-over elastic for leg openings is helpful, especially for anyone struggling with stretched-out edges on activewear.
Nice to hear the corsetry supply issue got fixed, I couldn’t select busks last time and thought they were out of stock.
Between the elastic, bias tape, and needles, this feels like a well-rounded update focused on actually improving finishing quality.
Adding larger glove sizes like x-large is overdue, especially for people working long hours who need a better fit for comfort.
The bias tape option should simplify finishing armholes on lightweight pieces where turning seams can get bulky quickly.
The double fold bias tape addition is perfect timing, I’ve been looking for a cleaner way to finish cuffs without bulky seams.
Those new x-small and x-large glove sizes are a nice touch since the old sizing didn’t always work for everyone in my shop.
Really appreciate the restock of steel boning and busks, it makes planning structured pieces a lot easier without sourcing elsewhere.
Glad to see the heavier duty 90/14 stretch needles added, those are a lifesaver when working with thicker stretch materials that lighter needles just can’t handle cleanly.
I’ve been waiting for 45mm pinking blades for my rotary cutter, cutting stretch fabrics with a clean edge is so much faster this way.
